How I Got Rid of IBS
Introduction – My Real Experience with IBS
IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) is becoming more common, including in Romania, although in countries like the UK it has been known for many years.
I personally went through this condition, and I can honestly say it was one of the most difficult periods of my life.
It all started when I found myself going to the bathroom up to 10–12 times a day. This completely affected my daily life and created constant anxiety about my health.
Medical Tests and No Clear Answers
I went through multiple medical investigations:
- blood tests
- medical consultations in Romania and the UK
- colonoscopy
- other digestive tests
The result?
👉 No clear cause was found.
In the UK, I was told directly:
“There is no clear cure for IBS, you just have to manage it.”
I was also told that it may be strongly influenced by the nervous system.
My Symptoms
In my case, the symptoms were severe:
- going to the bathroom up to 12 times a day
- constant bloating
- abdominal pain
- continuous digestive discomfort
- episodes of bleeding (not just hemorrhoids, but possible internal inflammation)
👉 At certain times, I had blood in my stool every few days or weeks, which was very alarming.
What I Started Doing Differently
Instead of accepting the situation, I started analyzing:
- what I eat
- how my body reacts
- what triggers my symptoms
1. Identifying Trigger Foods
I discovered that certain foods were triggering my symptoms:
❌ Onion – especially on an empty stomach (very aggressive for me)
❌ Other irritating foods
👉 My rule became simple:
- either I eat something before
- or I completely avoid those foods
2. The Surprise – “Bad” Foods That Worked for Me
Interestingly, some foods that are often considered problematic:
✔️ green apples
✔️ simple salads (tomatoes + cucumbers)
👉 were NOT always a problem for me
👉 sometimes they actually helped my digestion
⚠️ Conclusion:
IBS is very personal – what doesn’t work for others may work for you.
3. The Nervous System Factor (Very Important)
I realized that IBS is NOT just about food.
It is strongly connected to:
- stress
- emotions
- how you react
👉 I started working on myself:
- staying calmer
- not reacting impulsively
- controlling stress
I also explored personal development and spirituality, which helped me a lot.
4. The Discovery That Changed Everything – Raw Nettle
The biggest impact came from something very simple:
👉 raw nettle (NOT cooked)
How I consumed it:
- raw nettle salad
- simple and natural
What I noticed:
✔️ within about 10 minutes:
- bloating disappeared
- stomach pain disappeared
✔️ over time:
- bleeding stopped
- digestion stabilized
Why it works:
Nettle is rich in:
- vitamin K → helps reduce bleeding
- minerals → support body recovery
- anti-inflammatory compounds
👉 For me, this was a turning point.
What I Learned from This Experience
IBS is not just a digestive issue.
It is a combination of:
- diet
- nervous system
- lifestyle
👉 There is no universal solution
👉 but there is a solution that works for YOU
Conclusion
Even though doctors told me I would have to manage IBS for life, my experience was different.
Through:
- personal testing
- dietary changes
- emotional control
- using natural plants (especially raw nettle)
👉 I managed to almost completely eliminate my symptoms.
Important Note
This is my personal experience.
- It does not replace medical advice
- Every body is different
👉 But if you listen to your body and make the right changes, real results are possible.
